The Top of The Page...)
When we don't get enough
sleep, we start to build up a sleep debt. People tend to catch up on
their sleep during the weekend. At least, this has been the common thinking
for many years. Today, most sleep experts have debunked the idea of
sleep debt. However, if you consistently suffer from sleep deprivation,
eventually you will suffer from some type of health complications.
There are many different
health problems that can either be directly blamed on sleep deprivation
or can at least have lack of sleep as a major contributor to the problem.
Obesity, anxiety and depression are just a few of the major health complications
that can be suffered as a result of not getting enough sleep.
Our brains can start to malfunction
if we are sleep deprived. It can become more and more difficult to function
normally as sleep deprivations takes over our lives. Our muscles can
regenerate as long as they are resting but in order for our brains to
regenerate and recharge, we need to actually be asleep.
In order to avoid major health
complications, it is a good idea to address any sleeping problems that
you may have. Take a proactive approach to sleep deprivation just as
you would if you had a major health complication such as diabetes. After
all, if you do not give a lack of sleep the attention that it deserves,
it could very well end up causing some type of health complication in
your future.
